Seiko completes its Prospex Street Series collection of “Urban Safari” themed watches

Jun 14, 2020 | Parisian Eye

Four new creations on the theme “Urban Safari” enrich the Seiko Prospex Street Series. This collection, launched in 2018, inherits the design codes of the professional diving watch developed in 1975 and nicknamed “Tuna” by fans of watchmaking.

These watches adopt a modern and playful look that mixes the urban atmosphere of Tokyo with safari colors.

Each of these four new watches has an external case protection, an emblematic element of the original watch. The references SRPE29 and SRPE31 are the first two automatic watches in this collection, equipped with the 4R36 movement. The SNJ029 and SNJ031 references are the modern versions of the 1982 Hybrid Diver’s model, also popular with fans and nicknamed “Arnie”. All are equipped with analog and digital dials.
