Apr 20, 2019 | Parisian Eye

With the summer season upon us, it’s time to look for the perfect spot, the unexpected treasure for the most perfect vacation. If Greece is on your list, Axia Hospitality might be the ultimate way to find that special place.

Established in 2012 and specialized in hotel reservation management, the company operates with a portfolio of hidden gems across the region, from Athens to Mykonos, Santorini and beyond. Here is a selection for the ideal summer escape !

The White Ark Suites, Fira Santorini

An all suites hotels, with 3 suites (from 30 to 95 sq.m.) and hotel facilities, The White Ark Suites is located in Fira town – yet located on the caldera, making it totally isolated from the crowds of the island’s capital.  All suites enjoy private pools and a central pool for summer socialising.

Kalisti Hotel & Suites, Fira, Santorini

Also located in the heart of Fira Town, Kalisti Hotel & Suites, Fira, Santorini benefits from an ideal situation in a peaceful corner, providing the feeling of relaxation and serenity to its guests. With a typical Aegean Cycladic architecture, details and materials sourced from the stones of volcano emphasize the magnificent beauty of the surrounding and romantic atmosphere that lingers in the air.

Naxian on the Beach, Naxos

Naxian on the Beach is situated on Plaka beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island of Naxos. Conceived exclusively for couples, the property, 10 meters from the beach, has taken over a quiet, exclusive spot with its own sunbeds so you can enjoy the very best of the island. The understated luxury of the suites mix simple Cycladic décor with artistic curves, built-in island furniture and large windows that look out to the Aegean Sea.

The Foundy, Athens

Offering an urban oasis with Acropolis view, The Foundry literally shakes the local hotel scene with vertical gardens and a rooftop picnic garden !

The charming 1930’s building, originally a two-storey foundry was masterfully transformed into a boutique hotel of 12 apartments, urban in character and eclectic in style, fusing industrial design with exceptional, mid-century elements.

The rooftop of the building reinterprets the typical courtyard of a traditional Greek dwelling, all the while offering an elevated verdant and shaded meeting, relaxation and entertainment spot. Amidst the exclusively Greek vegetation of olive and pomegranate trees, lavender, fragrant plants and vineyard-laced pergolas, a walkway of marble slabs is formed that orient the beholder’s gaze to different visual paths. Thus guests can indulge in unobstructed views of the Acropolis, Philopappou Hill, the Observatory and the Gazi district with the added opportunity to savour flavours and aromas of delectable Greek products during a rooftop picnic experience. Several individual constructions, such as marble stands, metal pergolas with traditional wattle reed roofing, new metal railings influenced by the Greek Bauhaus, as well as the addition of a wood-fired oven for the preparation of Greek meals, all contribute to connecting the space with the historical landscape that surrounds it, further enhancing the visitor’s experience.
