Travel: the Loews Regency Hotel, New York, set for re-opening on January 16, 2014
Dec 07, 2013 | Parisian Eye
Paris is not the only city currently having some of its more prestigious hotels getting a lift (my favourite one, the Plaza Athénée, being one of them – just like the Ritz and the Crillon). The New York scene is also being revisited: the Loews Regency Hotel, an iconic Midtown Manhattan landmark, is going through the final touches of a comprehensive $100 million renovation.
New York is definitely on my list of must-see cities in the upcoming months (I have indeed seen a lot of the West Coast already), and the ideal location of the Loews Regency Hotel makes it one of my top ideal locations to try: on Park Avenue, it is just steps away from Central Park, Madison Avenue, and Museum Mile.
What makes it even more appealing to me is the 10,000-square-foot beauty salon, spa and fitness set to open at the Loews Regency: managed by celebrity hairstylist Julien Farel, it will feature 30 custom-designed stations and private rooms for VIP clients, and focus on anti-aging. Julien Farel will also launch JF Men, which will cater to every man’s grooming needs… Perfect for The Parisian Eye!
