Video: “On stage with Moynat”, starring the new Réjane clutch

Dec 08, 2013 | Parisian Eye
I first shared my love of Moynat sooner this year, and have been following their news and collaborations ever since: I loved the original creations that came out of the partnership with Krug.

As Moynat keeps going with exclusive and unexpected partnerships (the latest to date with Pierre Hermé), they just released “On stage with Moynat”, a film featuring the emblematic models of Moynat: Pauline, Réjane, Limousine, Paradis and the new Réjane Clutch, the latest creation of Ramesh Nair, the brand’s artistic director.

This clutch is a playful take on the iconic Réjane bag, and can be worn in different ways:  a chic clutch, a lively version with a long shoulder strap or a more elegant version with an unusual double strap.

This video celebrates the link of the fashion house with theatre, and the friendship between Pauline Moynat and her muse, the actress Gabrielle Réjane. Originally, the Réjane bag was created as a tribute to the famous French actress, in the end of the 19th century: back then, the house of Moynat pioneered in naming a bag after a celebrity – long before Hermès’ “Birkin”…

The Réjane clutch is available exclusively at the Moynat boutique, 348 rue Saint Honoré in Paris.
